Acknowledge Poor Judgment

Well, I was damn sure wrong about the Astros. Not my first error in judgment (see ex-wives, etc.). Nothing but compliments to the Astros and their business like approach in getting the job done, and done well. May have to get a TV to watch the World Series, but that's a pretty drastic step, so I don't know for sure about that yet.

Astro Cast

Just posting this here so that when anyone asks, I can point to this post and say "you heard it here first." The Astros baseball season is over. They cannot recover from the devastating loss Monday. While the Cards have been studying and scouting the players (and managers) strengths and weaknesses to devise counter punches, the Astros have been feeling unbeatable and have been whooping it up. Astro Manager Scrapheap, who had been living on luck, began to believe that his players could actually beat the Cards heads-up, despite compelling evidence to the contrary. Why else would anyone in their right mind, holdng a 2 run lead, not walk the leagues #1 hitter with 2 outs and 2 on in order to force a play at any base. Even if the next guy up gets a hit, at worst the score is tied. Astro closer is not that good to start with, and is a mental case in addition.

Stros are still in shock. Look for them to just barely go through the motions these last two games and don't be surprised if they are absolutely humiliated in the process. Sad, but true.
